I wouldn't have said the carbon was bad quality but I snapped mine too.

The carbon ones I had on my GSXR were'nt as solid and had a little flex in them where as the KTM ones have rolled edges to stiffen em so maybe they were too stiff for their own good and put too much pressure on the mounting points.

I have MotoHooligan heelguards as well and they are pretty costly for a heelguard but man they're tasty and not gonna be breaking any time soon.

Looks great Iam really impressed that you took the time to do the shock spring in orange as well. Is that the orange gel seat ? Is it shaped any different then the stock one ?

Yep, thought so. I've done some anodizing on mine this winter and you said it, looks stupid with silver brakes on. Calibers are a no go for anodizing as the process will eat some of the surface in the cylinders, smoothing the surface will make 'em oversized which on behalf means all new inner parts. If even available. Needed to find a shortcut to get 'em black and will also go with paint. NOT forgetting to leave enough of that fast Orange on the bike though...

Tips allways welcome Have done some other finishing jobs with heat resistant spray, heat the oven at the garace upto around 100 degrees of C, stick the parts in for a 20min and voila. Shortens the two weeks hardening with app. 13 days and 23hrs 40mins. Never had any drawback like this, just clean the surface well before applying the paint.
