hi guys , sorry if this is in the wrong section.

i've been quoted Â£200 for my bikes 600 mile service from the dealer i bought my bike from. they said they would charge me Â£200 for every service so it evens itself out in the long run.

does this sound ok ?

Sounds steep to me. I just payed Â£186 for my 7500km service. The first service cost Â£40 (parts) as labour was included as part of the bike sale. However my next service (valve clearance check) will cost ~Â£380 so i guess if your only paying Â£200 for all services it might not be so bad....?

The labour is not free for 1st service on KTM's.

They have to check the valve clearances - so that isn't too bad IMO.

Which dealer are you using bud??
Is it Avuss?
I'm waiting to pick my '07 SD up from them and the dude said he would try to come to an arrangement with the servicing.
Just wondering if this sounds familiar??
If not, try giving them a shout, I am well impressed with them so far.
Hope that doesn't change in the near future either.

Not too bad at all mate.

Bike at standard price but good deal on extra bits (R&G's, Datatag, Alarm n fitting kit).

Exhausts a good price too!!

Was in Sunday and today to drop off and pick up bits of paper, chatted to the dude a wee bit whilst i was there.
Seems a really sound guy, both days there were folk in talking to him whom he had sold bikes to a couple of years ago in Ducati.
Impressed me anyway that they are willing to keep in contact with him.
Bodes well methinks.

I'll let you know how much they want for the first service when I'm back in, can compare them and see which is the better price.

I have just booked mine in for next week as afft Sunday it willl due it's first service and I have been quoted based on the last r they serviced at Â£310.

now Â£310 does sound a bit steep, especially since its basically the same bike everyone else (well, most) is paying around Â£200 a first service on.
