So, I had my insurance renewal notice through this week, for the SD and my '05 10R. I'm currently with H&R (have been for 5yrs) but every now and then I ring round a few companies for quote comparisons. One such call was to Bennetts Insurance (UK). I was stunned to learn that they would not cover me at all, and the reason WHY was hilarious. On the online web form I'd completed I had listed 'too many modifications' to both of my bikes. They were:
SD - Scottoiler, Crash bungs, exhaust
10R - Scottoiler, crash bungs
This, apparently, is way to much for them to handle and their under-writers wouldn't cover them! Thought I'd share. So if you are tempted to go with Bennetts (and on this experience I woudn't touch them with a nuclear bomb) it might be a tricky situation if you require a pay-out and they discover that you forgot to mention you changed the brake reservoir cover to a KTM orange one....that counts as making changes to the braking system!!!
Fcuking idiots.
