So, the bike (09 SDR) is currently set up with a full Akra system and a custom map to go along with it.

Have got the DynoJet O2 eliminators, but haven't installed them yet. If I do, what's the verdict? Do I require a new map, a 15 min reset, or just to put on my Sunday's best and take the girl out for a spin?
The akra map switches all that stuff off, so go for a ride and sell the O2 plugs.
You can switch them off and on with tuneecu also.
Cheers.

Akra map dont switch em off...

But prove me wronge unplug and if no efi light then no good info.

I have SDR08 Full Ackro with Map downloaded by ColwynBay from New....put O2 eliminators on and got EFI light as i got the bad one's fron greece, sent them back and then got gen Dyna 1's.

Put MH butterflies on now as well...15min reset bike is perfect.

If Ackra map swithched em off then there would have been no light

Got 2nd hand off fleabay ...but if you use the resistor sizes in the how 2 pages these will work fine...i found a local supply for the resistors if you struggle let me know i can post to you.
I'm thinking of getting a cable for TuneEcu anyway even I got PCIII installed at the moment. Wasn't it so that with TuneEcu you are able to disable O2 sensors thus no need for resistors?
TuneECU eliminates the issue, yes, but I haven't got one..

While I'm at it if you actually spend money on O2 eliminator plugs instead of useing tuneecu (FREE except for the cable) you need a cat scan.
Tuneecu allows you to switch these settings, upload maps, diagnostic tool, syncronise throttle bodies etc.

Read up people before ranting up in a new tread and talk bs.
Just a recap of what KTMguy said

In simple terms turning them off in TuneECU just stops it taking readings from the sensors so you no longer need to unplug them.

it is unplugging them that gives you an error, not switching them off.

The supplied KTM Akra maps from the tuneecu guys indicates that the o2 sensors are switched off in 2 of the akra maps but not the 3rd, one map which switches off is for the full system but I'm not sure what the difference is between the two slip on akra maps available as to why one has them off and the other doesn't so as suggested, the only way to know for sure is to plug in and check.

It's as cheap to make up a tuneecu cable as to buy a set of o2 eliminators.
Alright, thanks for the info.

I'll keep them out of the bike for the time being and see if I can get hold of a TuneECU setup then.
Tune and cable was not readily available when i did mine.....as for the rests of the posts ere i was describing my problems and responding to a question. I wanted to remove the Lambda Probes completely and without the eliminators it was not possible.

I am sorry KTMGUY is pissed off but if you read and then digest you may have gathered the point above....any way only trying to help.

Some on ere get so HandBag dont they!!!

Plugged Tuneboy in for clarity this afternoon...findings as follows

UK bike Akra map at main dealer...O2 sensors are enabled and working. Then again what i tried to describe pritty much explains this, when i got bad O2 eliminators the bike ran really bad so if the heaters only had been a fact it would have had no effect on bike running, point made.

Next ....O2 eliminators DO make a diffrence to the bike if you have NO other means of addressing the fueling problems on the proper 08 onward SDR which is more sensative to fueling due to the engine revisions.

My reccomendation is you get rid of any 1/2" diameter bar (Lambda Probe) blocking the smooth airflow of the exhaust, afterall on quite a few projects i have had the pleasure to help developing the exhaust manifolds on the 1st thing to go is the Lambda probes, done alot of work with Akrapovic over the years and the race headers have no place for the Lambda as they aint needed OBVIOUSLY!!!

M18 blanking plugs from any car exhaust fitting centre are good and you cant see them so steel is good just paint them with heatresistent paint before you fit and use a littkle copper grease on the thread all will be good.

So in my attempt to try and help and i was assuming you dont have a tuneboy freeware or cable, and also assuming you have a puckker Akra map that DOES look at the Lambda for feed back then i stick by my comment.....

"" turns all that stuff off"" (can be miss leading and in some cases absolutly wrong)...YES this is me pissed off now!!!

ALWAYS BEWARE OF THE 'man' WITH THE QUICK ANSWERS

I hope this measured response is some help
