#15Thanks for all the thought guys, I think there may be a few aches tomorrow but nothing I won't get over.
I have just got home and had a better look. Main damage seems to be to the plastic bracket that the clock is fixed to, as you can see from the photos, for some strange reason the headlight housing popped off its fixing on the top and just fell forward, the only missing bit was one of the pivot pins at the bottom of the assembly so I put a bolt in and it went back easy !
The throttle housing on the handlebar took a hit and will need replacing as will the mirror. The only worrying thing is a small chunk out of the top of the tank, not very deep or big, where the handlebar came round when it was on the floor.
The top R&G did a fantastic job of keeping most of the damage off the tank and panel, only slight scuff marks that I can live with for now.
The thing is though that the front wheel is definitely binding on the brakes and I think that must have been the cause because the road was perfectly dry, it was 8 degrees and there would have been no other reason why I would lose the front end like that, I'll be having a word with the dealer tomorrow !

#17I have just checked and the mark on the tank was made by the 90 degree bracket under the handlebar that guides the throttle cable, that has snapped off as well but it seem it wasn't that actual handlebars that touched, just the throttle cable guide and there is no damage to the frame where the stop is.

#18mine did the same thing but on the other side, I have the same sort of chip on the left side of my tank,
nothing to worry with but a new tank if you turn this in to the insurance company, just worry about the head stock, looks like it hit the ditch hard.
