I didn't know where this subject belongs and couldn't find this in the search either so mods, feel free to move this thread to the right section

I'm thinking of buying a Superduke in the UK somewhere in the next few months and I wondered if theres any room for negotiating the price, what is normal in the UK?
I know here in Holland you can usually get a few hundreds off the price on private sales and dealers can give you a discounts up to 1000 euros without trade-in.
So what can I expect when buying a UK SD >07 with a budget of 5 to 5,5K GBP ? Is it worth looking at 6000 o.n.o. ads?
If you've got £5,500 then definitely look at £6k bikes. Not everyone will be prepared to move that far but if you dan't ask you don't give them the chance to say no, do you?
The later in the year the better for prices. Dealers don't want to go onto winter with lots of stock. Make a really low offer to a dealer and no one is offended. To a private seller it's a bit harsh. Depends if you are comfortable upsetting loving owned.

it's always gonna be cheaper buying a bike with mods already bolted on, although maybe from time to time a seller will get lucky and find a daft buyer...

You should make sure the bike also comes with the original parts though
