ruined my fecking weekend!!!

Image

rectifier...that will explain my constant flat batteries...tomorrow it will be in the capable hands of my local KTM dealer!
i know the feeling mine went first run of the year bikes not even 3 years old and thats the second one. cost 80.00 posted from ktm and takes 15 mins to fit.
i hope you didn,t have the same wait i had from the AA. in my case took them 5 yes i said FIVE hours to uplift me and the bike
Actually it was fantastic...(for a change!!! i have waited 3 hours for a puncture once, and they sent a motorcycle patrol, what fecking good was that!!!??? and then another 2 hours for a van to take me to a tyre dealer)

i rang them at 10.15, from the service station, where the bike conveniently died...the AA were there at 10.40, bike loaded up by 11.00 home by 12.00 battery on charge at 12.10 with enough juice to get me to IN-MOTO in the morning to sort it out under warranty!!!
i didn,t even get out the garage, pressed the start button and a feable attempt to start the engine. Rode the bike last sunday without any problems.
Love the bike but some times i hate it!

If my bike sits for more than 2 days without starting it, the battery is completely flat. So your saying its the rectifier? New battery at the end of last season.

I am an original purchaser and have not been contacted by KTM for any brake service. Furthermore, I do not need KTM to check them unless they offer to slide in new pads while they are at it. I am seeing the first signs of fork seal replacement needs coming on and that is not a job I am ready to tackle. A friend of mine, okay an acquantance, had a new battery installed when almost new because the battery connection was loose, causing total drainage. He said that it demonstrated quick blinkers prior to failure. Any one else see quick flashing indicators prior to failure?

What many may fail to recognize is the V lump vibrates and depending on where you keep your rpm's along with the depth of the throttle input makes all the difference in the world as to what falls off and what stays on,

ye know your right hand that is connected to the gray matter plays a large role in how little or how violently these things vibrate and vibrate = breakage and shite falling off on the ground.
