has anyone ever used one of these helmets... http://www.bandithelmets.com/xx/index.htm

its about time for a new helmet for me. and i was looking for something a little different. but i dont want to buy a piece of shit.

im just getting a little tired of arai and shoei helmets. although they are great helmets and all ive ever owned. i am looking for something that you dont see everyday here in the states. then i stumbled across this bandit. it looks pretty cool.

anyone have any experiance with it. or suggestions?
Thats a crazy looking skull helmet.
I like the black and orange ,flat black ,black ,and of course the skull one black with skull would be cool also arrr shiver me timbers it does
I like that style of helmet and like you said its good to be different. That skull airbrush work looks bad ass, I was thinking about doing something similar to mine, I've got one of these.

Bandit helmets were rearly big at one time over here , but seam to have dighd deth a bit here now, evry one I knoe who had one of theys and road in it , dident like them they sed they were uncomfirtabule and rearly noisey to ride in !.
These appear to be facsimiles of the SIMPSON BANDIT helmet. They are mostly not street legal but do have a few legal models. I looked at getting one a few years ago, but couldnt try one on anywhere and also heard they were shocking at coping with wind! They are the original Darth Vader helmet stylee but I'm glad I got my Shoei X Spirit instead.

I'd advise searching for a REAL Simpson helmet to be more confident of a quality lid if this is the style you seek.
Look cool but as has been stated above very noisy, and next to no padding at the chin.
The original simpsons were not road legal so were xtra cool.
All the above is very true, I do belive that they startedlife for drag racin, some had an aperture to the side for extra oxygen. Anyway they look cool were and are noisey, and have an awful peripheral vision and look cool . Plus the original one's were way over priced, there better, cheeper and perhap's less cool helmets out there, like my full carbon lid by Marushin google it and see wat you think. Just a nat's whisker over 1 Kilo.
As Shade says these are copies of the old Simpson Bandits.

I had one back in the 80's. I think they were made for car racers but have since been adopted by the streetfighter brigade.

They are / were excellent for posing around the town looking badass. However, mine was the noisiest, draftiest and most ill fitting lid I have owned. I had to use my Arai for real riding.

I doubt the original Simpson would be accepted at trackdays either. However, these are copies so may be made to modern standards.

I would say try one on before you buy and be prepared to have another lid for general riding.

Coolest looking lids ever though
Run away from those Simpson knock-offs - lousy padding & very unstable at higher speed.

I would look closely at these helmets

I've read nothing but good things about them, and they are inexpensive (compared to $600 Arais).
Mat Mladin doesn't mind getting paid to wear one.

I almost like this for visibility....

At the Indy MotoGP, they sold out of these at the show.

Street price is <$200 US.
Their adverts are OK, too.

I wouldn't buy a helmet I couldn't first try on. There is a reason that you can't find one of these to test out. If the dealers aren't buying them, then......

I agree about the Scorpion Helmets. I trust this website, they video review almost everything they sell:

Even if you don't buy from them, they do provide a plethora of info over other sites.
maybe my favorite, very quiet, not as light as my daily rider.

I do not have a up close shot but this is my fav lid and I wear it every day.

it is the same helmet as the loud 1 collyer put up. They are quite popular here.

Image around the outside.... 650 twin V gixxer 1000?...
