One for the R owners out there, I've got the US 20 and with a few mods it works great on the R seat unit. On the front of the bag I used the two rectangle hoops and cut a bungee ( the flat type) in half, past the end through the hoop and secured it to itself with a couple of tie wraps. This then passes under the seat unit infront of the moulding that has ya tool kit in it and then hooks onto the subframe on the opposite side to which it is attatched to the bag. On the back I used the rear rectangle hoops, got another flat bungee, cut one hooks off it and pass it through both hoops, reinstall hook. Now with bag on bike and secured at the front grab the ends of the rear bungee, pass them under the seat unit ( just covers the rear light lens slightly) and bring back up on top of the bag and hook both ends together.

Kriega (or Krug) gear is absolutely top quality. I use the R35 rucky and got the US10 tail free with an order on a lock and chain, but I have not used that yet.

After someone (from this forum) suggested the Kriega route I look on their website and saw the 40 litre combo (1 x 20lt and 2 x 10lt), which I thought looked the business. Check it out here (select the sixth image at the bottom):

The advantage would be that the unit would sit totally on top of the seat and so any aftermarket exhaust would pose no problem. The disadvantage I guess is that all the luggage weight is higher up unlike typical pannies where it tries to distribute it a bit lower.

Just my opinion Folks
