Went for a track day in Shannonville (long track) on Friday with 2 buds... TV kept saying it will rain all day, but we were all ready, and i took Thu+Fri off work, so what the hell, only 250km one way, we went. 8am, went through tech inspection, only 7 guys showed up. track was a bit wet after heavy rain at night, and it was cloudy, but we still had some fun. One guy wiped out on the first lap... by 11 am it started raining a bit, we kept going. then it started pouring. so hard, you could not see 10m ahead of you. we hid under the spectator stands, hanged out the gear to dry a bit, and went for lunch. 2 guys packed up and left.
By 12:30pm sun came out, by 1pm track was completely dry... There was just 4 of us left! The rest of the day it was 3 of us playing around, and a 20yr old pro-racer kid on a TZ250 (he lapped us every now and then... he was FAST!).
Did total of 260km's on the track, and SD kicked ass! i had a huge grin on my face each time i passed my buddy on gsxr1000
