Brake/clutch lines

Looks as if both Spiegler and HEL USA (a UK company) will manufacture line kits for the SD. They both do multiple colors for lines and fittings. Price ranges from $200 - $250 for complete kits (depending on configuration).

They both are going to require some dimensions from me so I'll be pulling lines this weekend and shooting them some specs. Will try to take some pics and post up all of the corrosion I've been experiencing. It's quite major actually, never had any problems like this with my Yam R1s or Honda CBRs.

Talked to the guys at HEL and have decided to go with them. Going with Black lines and Red fittings. Will be pulling my lines tonight and sending them off to them tomorrow or Monday at the latest so they can be used as a template.

They'll have all the dimensions for anyone wlse considering the same.

You going to run two lines from the master to the slaves, or are you going to run one line down to the "Y" split under the bottom fork clamp like it is stock, the two more down to the slaves? I see a lot of race bikes running two lines only, which is cheaper. I can not figger out why stock bikes run the three lines with a "Y" splitter that has to cost more money. I put a two line system on my Bandit last year for cheap when I installed some CR low fat bars. WTF again !

Was planning to go with a T on the front lines so only one banjo on MC. Wanted to stick with stock routing for the speedo pick-up cable. After looking at the cludge under the headlight mask might just go 2 lines.

Just took a look at the lines and it's gonna be just as much of a bitch to pull them as it was to pull the exhaust (if not more so). Running outta motivation at the moment.
