After lots of fiddling with suspension, springs, rearset adjusters, bar positions, levers - never mind the performance upgrades - it was time for a man-bike bonding session.
Gotta report that the bike was near perfect. Superb handling, neutral suspension set up (thanks HMR), the extra horses were very handy on the Brabham straight, and overall I'm very chuffed. Pilot Pures were nice too.
The morning was wet, so Shade, Hawkman and me stayed indoors eating extra brekkie, and kept our powder dry until a dry line appeared. The rest of the day got warmer and drier and we got quicker and quicker without major drama. The big learning was to have fun, and avoid taking things too seriously, or trying to take the perfect line. Even on a track day the SDR is all about taking any line you want, late changes in direction, and generally getting away with it.
Anyway, enough of the crap. You guys know how a well a superduke goes around a track. This is an excuse for photo whoring... Here's a couple snaps.
