Superduke spotted at 4:20
That will buff right out.
Ancient vid ...

... and yeah, it was me. So what? Yamaha didn't tell me that their R6 tanks would burst into flames if you went down. Turns out, someone makes a "tank slider" for 'em with the best disclaimer ever:

"Our Tanks sliders are designed to reduce the chance of fuel spillage and fire caused by the design of the R6 fuel tank. The R6 tank can impact the ground in a minor crash or lowside, causing the tank to leak fuel, resulting in fire. Many R6s have had minor crashes at the track that have resulted in an entire bike being destroyed by fire. Made from High Impact, Heat Resistant ABS plastic. Easy installation design attached with Auto quality 3M adhesive. A certified tank protector will be required by most race organizations for 2008. Removal not necessary for tank removal. The "after" pictures below are after a 120mph crash at Road Atlanta. Scuffing on tank is from gravel in the runoff area. Tank was not dented by asphalt and there are no scuffs or scratches from the asphalt."

"Please note: We are supplying a pair of factory Yamaha logos with our R6 Tank Sliders. This in no way certifies this item as a factory Yamaha part or implies this part is supplied by, endorsed by, or recommended by Yamaha. Traxxion Dynamics has no affiliation with Yamaha Motor Company implied or expressed."

"WARNING!!! BY REMOVING THIS LABEL AND USING THE TRAXXION DYNAMICS R-6 GAS TANK SLIDER, YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE POSSIBILITY ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY EXISTS THAT YOUR BIKE WILL CRASH, BURST INTO FLAMES, BURN TO THE GROUND, SOAK YOU WITH FUEL, LIGHT YOU ON FIRE, AND BURN YOU UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD. YOU ADMIT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR GAS TANK AND SLIDER WILL BE CRUSHED AND DAMAGED AND BOTH WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED IF YOU CRASH ON THEM. YOU AGREE TO HOLD TRAXXION DYNAMICS INC, HARMLESS FOR ANY DEATH OR INJURY THAT RESULTS FROM USING THIS PRODUCT."
@SDNerd - guess you missed the part about seeing a superduke ride past him at about 4:20
FWIW, I was at the Rock Store today (a biker hang out about a mile from the scene of that crash) I think that same bike was there today. (Pretty sure it was the same helmet). The rider parked two bikes away from my SD, but I never met him. The mystery remains.

That was really you?! I thought you were being sarcastic. What a crazy coincidence! You're practically famous - over 1.2 million views.
