can I (modify the airbox lid)

sorry if this has been covered looked at threads etc

can i cut a hole in the top of the air box and stick on it ?DNA filter (like they use on the top of their box?

anyone done it? and how do u secure it?

Yes you can and yes i had before i bought a CRG filter!

Bought a K&N filter off Ebay for £5 that looked about the right size, cut the top of the airbox out then fixed it in with screws and high temp gasket sealent.

Mines virtually the same but fitted further up the airbox!

thanks guys, brill, what about the sock filters, i.e. fit on the stacks? did read on here that the air needs to tumble round,down the stacks

I'm selling my pods if you want them. Including the custom map in the sale. Made 118 bhp with no loss of torque.

It's a mod that works. Don't know anything about the right amount of tumble into the bell mouths though.
Just cutting the window in the top of the airbox and fitting the panel filter liberated the same bhp as a Motohooligan airbox so its not all bad.
My dyno graphs are on here somewhere but I'm too lazy to find them tbh
If it was me, though, I'd be buying Viking's pod filters.

Viking do you have any pics? cheers my bike was dynode but i discovered that the air box had holes drilled in each side, so after dyne taped um up, as nothing to filter there air, so the socks/?pods might be the answer, don't need map thanks.
