From another forum:
I'm looking for a winter hack/bit of fun supermoto/green lane machine but have no experience in this area. How am I likely to find a bike like this (I used to ride a bog standard DRZ400 and found it a bit tame).
What is it like for service intervals etc (is it high maintenance).
Is it good value?
Any thoughts gratefully received!!!

Unfortuntely xxx has had to give up Moto X Racing due to a nasty injury to his knee. Because of this his RMZ 250 has to go. If any of you saw his R1 you will know he keeps his bikes in superb top notch condition and I think you'll find this one is no exception, here are the details :-
05 Plate road registered RMZ 250 (4stroke) MOT till 16/07/09 daytime use only, taxed till the end of next month, £25 for the year! It's got Renthal bars, blue ASV (unbreakable) clutch and brake levers, Protaper grips, billet fuelcap, Bills pipe with a 96 and a 92 db insert, Wavey rear disc, tyres are a brand new set of Michelin AC10 road legal mx tyres, oversized radiators to stop it overheating, its fitted with a Trailtech speedo/computer. It's currently on Makita grafix, theres 2 spare sets, one set is a yellow pro circuit set and the other set is a set of green Procircuit grafix. This bike has the luxury of being made by Suzuki and Kawasaki so you can have it yellow or green, whatever floats your boat! Other spares are about 3 oil filters, 4 bottles of oil, front and rear Michelin starcross mx tyres used a couple of times, seatcover, clutch and brake levers, headlamp, spare sprockets, chain, air filter, plus consumable items, like airfilter oil, chain oil, Barkbuster hand guards, original exhaust.
This is a hell of alot of bike and bits and would be brilliant for anyone thinking of taking up Moto X or green laning.
I'm only asking £1700 for the whole lot but please remember that even though its a little 250 this is NOT a toy it will rip your f***ing arms off if you treat it with contempt!
Breaking News.......... It also has a sidestand and the bike stand it's pictured with is included too!!!!!!
