A few of you where wanting ready to run weights on these
The wheel weights are as follows....

Bare weight Front 6.0lbs Rear 8.5lbs

Front weight with Carrozzeria wave rotors 12.5 lbs (rotors are 1.8 lbs light per set then Galfer wave rotors)

Rear Weight complete w/rotor, sprocket carrier and 525 sprocket 14.3 lbs
Stock rear comes in at 19.4lbs

Uh oh, the picture of the SDR with the gold wheels has me thinking I should get a pair of these!!!

But I think I'd feel stupid removing the stock Marchesinis for Carrozeria........ SHOULD I FEEL STUPID??

$2g is $2g.. I could do other stuff with that money.. like anodize or powdercoat my Marchis in gold for 1/10th price

I'd wanna see a weight comparo between the SDR wheels and the Carros...

Oh man - you totally cheated on that front wheel measurement! I see bolts missing - BOLTS MISSING!

j/k - thanks for the intel Aaron. Weight savings even with stock rotors appears to be substantial. Gotta love a light, forged Al wheel - good looking too.

Any chance you'll be getting the same numbers for the 10-spokes? Every time I see that black pair in the pic (above), I have to wipe the drool off the keyboard.

Am doing these wheels for my Ducati GT1000--TWENTY THREE POUNDS SAVINGS!

The source for these (sorry MH-- order placed before this news hit) says the multi spoke are actually a bit lighter. Look forward to you confirming.

The three spoke versions are in fact lighter (suggested for race use only). Fine for smooth tracks but bumpy roads...wouldn't recommend it. 5 spokers are fine for road use.

The bike at the beginning of this post is my buddy Dino's. Been drooling over his 6 spoke Carro's since the first time I seen them. Here are some photos of the 5 spokers mounted up to my bike:

Ohh and the V-Tracks are slightly heavier..... 12oz for the pair

You may want to give the CZ rotors a try.... they are a hybrid alloy with better feel than a strait stainless rotor without the cracking and rusting problems you can have with iron.

Do these have the option of coming with ceramic bearings? I have read and seen good things about the ceramics. They seem to have far less friction than their stainless counterpart...

You will loose far more rolling resistance by removing the seals from the spacer and bearing and using a teflon sheild

I love these things! For me the money spent was a massive improvement, because it was a huge change in handling, braking and helped the acceleration as much as a set of S/O's would due to the lighter accelerating rear wheel. Yes, they are blue and I do really like the color but I think it lost some of the "mad max" look I love about the bike - I might redue them in black, dont know yet. I'm sure I will get some honest opinons.

The blue is a cool color. I have to agree it makes the SD far more of a happier bike... Hope thats what you were going for.

I don't think anything but black wheels suit the SDR, because of the orange frame. Well, maybe the gold anodize...
