Cold and wet but good to be out on the roads

Just about to go out for the first time round the area I've moved to and try and find some decent fast roads. Cold and wet but good to be out. Did about 60 miles and then my fingers got too cold. Need to dig out those winter gloves - they are in a packing box somewhere but i don't know which one Roads wet and slippy, most B roads round here are terrible and cratered, the A roads are not that smooth but I will keep on looking. Main thing is that I can be on a fast road in fifth hear in less than 5 minutes. In London it took 40 and about 100 traffic lights. Here I only saw about three lights in two hours riding.

Go the Rukka top. I've been using mine this week, not complaining about those squeezy cuffs now.

Lovely can't wait for the weekend to do the same.

six of us were out today , 160 miles dropped into rye for a fry up and back .all a and b roads .

When I bought my bike it came with heated grips. I took 'em off and thought I'd put them back on but it's still over 10 degrees so there's no need yet. Maybe 2012 will start colder.

Had a chilly ride round on the RC8 yesterday myself. Enjoyed it, but the cold fingers routine and the low afternoon sun in my eyes sent me back home after about an hour.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Its 75 degrees outside today.

Does anyone use those moto x type handguards to block the wind chill?

Here it's the other way arround, it is actually too hot to put leathers or a jacket on to ride.
34 C and the rains haven't set in yet which makes it sauna like. (don't know 34C in F)
I ride to work on the husky at 6 am in a T-shirt and I even had to take the hand guards of to get some wind on the gloves.
