My front sprocket seems to have been coming loose on me lately , even with the Bent over washer holding it in place. I'll snug the nut down , bend over the tab and a week or two later it's loose again. Is there something weird goin on ?

Most likely the sprocket worn on the shaft. If there is too much play on the splines it doesn't matter how hard you do the nut up and bend the washer over, the fro and back movement of the sprocket on the shaft during acceleration and engine braking will work it loose.

Tip: if you do the nut up always try to position the sproket on the splines so that there is no play when the bike accelerates. E.g. do the nut up while keeping the sprocket tight turning clockwise on the shaft. So the bike accelerates the shaft turns anti- clockwise and there is no play between the shaft and the sprocket.
Hope this makes sense.
