Dudes, i know this has been discussed here but i couldnt find a thread. i have an 07 SD way out side of the warranty, 13,000mi. initially a small 1/2" crack on the clear instrument cluster cover developed at maybe 10-11,000 mi. one week end after not having touched the bike for 3 days. i looked at it and there were cracks all over the face of the thing. its just awful and im afraid that where the cracks meet the plastic is going to fall right out. what the?...
i know others have had issues with this. ive mentioned it to the dealers and asked if there have been recalls, they say they have never heard of any problems and quoted me a price to replace it. is there anyone at KTM who i can contact and get some help with this? if i was to replace it id have to start the mileage from zero from what i understand. it pisses me off to look at it on an otherwise clean bike!
