Crash Report - identify parts!

So, week and a half ago the throttle stuck WTFO and dumped me on the road. Rear tyre tried to eat my leg

The shop gave me some pics and he was a little flabbergasted about what was found. This rubber piece was IN the airbox, and made it down where it wasn't supposed to be. Had the 15kilo service done back in August, and put about 1400miles on it since. It's been running really strange, hesitating and feeling starved for fuel. Then it dumped me over. So here are some pics and some questions...

What I'm wondering...what the heck is that!?? It has a groove on one side where it looks like a guide of some sort, and is a wire guide or organizer of some sort.

Another problem that was happening...when I went to open the fuel cap, serious vacuum and very difficult to open. Very audible air release when I got it open. Shop guy sez this nipple was capped on the back of the tank and not allowed to breathe:


I don't know if there's supposed to be a hose there or not...but he took the cap off and a little gas dribbled out. Sez it's an overfill. Is it supposed to be capped? Hose running down? Just open to the wind?

It is from the front of the stock air box, it is a guide for the throttle cables. if the throttle bodies are removed this piece can fall into the front cylinder intake manifold, (don't ask how i know). Sorry about the accident. Hope your ok. if you look in the parts book you can just make out the part. hope this helps.

FWIW the part is shown on the page the has the airbox on it. look in front of the box HTH.
