I took my SD in for the 1000 mile serivce and it didn't sound like they did anything different then they would have done for any other brand of bike that they sold. I seemed to have lost them when I talked about critical fasteners. So since a lot of you guys do track days can you share your experience as to what fasteners needed to be checked before race day.

Now that everything is wire tied, I don't do much more than a quick go over. The tech inspectors make sure I didn't miss anything.
Before the safety wire I would check the brake parts pretty thoroughly. I put a dot of paint on each fastener that I thought might come loose. You have probably seen this from the factory too. I have about 20 paint pens for this, each a different color. When I remove a bolt, I use another color when it is tightened again. When it starts to look messy, I wipe off the paint and start again. Bear in mind that this may look pretty stupid on a street bike but I always put function before form.
