Cross Section of Dunlop Q-2 , this is my 3rd tyre on the rear since i got the bike .... I'll say they're pretty sticky tyres. I accidentally went across a painted line at about 90 once when it was foggy and damp in a fairly tight turn and went " Au Oh " ! Not a slip ...... Have never had these tyres slip.
Looks like there's a bit of rubber left at this point - you can see the cords showing on the top which run all the way around the tyre - then there's gona be a tiny bit more rubber ( 1/32nd maybe ) before there's a cross tread , then 1/16th " more rubber before you're all the way GONE.
i suppose if i was really broke and really needed to ride i'd go all the way through the first tread and into that second layer of rubber - i'm not sure though if i'd want to tap into that second layer of tread though ---- i was pretty worried riding this tyre as it was - 120mph on it had my stomach in knots ......
