ok how much play is there on your superduke, just checked mine and there is about 3mm movement, (checked in neutral and rocked sprocket forwards and measured movement) told 5mm max. just felt that something was giving the effect of looseness, chain slap , i am running a longer chain with a 40 tooth rear so this wont help and checked chain tension is ok although this does feel bloody slack compared to other bikes ive had but i know its in tolerance to the book , might go back to standard rear 38 and shorter chain to see if theres marked improvement before trying to change the cush drive bushes as they look fun to do (not ). problem was i bought the bike and immediately changed to 40 tooth rear and longer chain without even getting used to standard gearing, cos i like the wheelie and grunt fun, bit arse about face really but whats the standard set up like ? any feedback would be greatly appreciated

#2Take rear wheel off and check the sprocket to wheel connection. There should be no play whatsoever.
the sprocket is a tight fit into the wheel.
I suspect that is not where your play is.

#3I've always thought that the chain tolerance was a lot looser than previous bikes I owned too. I keep thinking that it is loose and I check the measurement and it always seemd fine?
