Hi all

I have been thinking about possibly changing my Ackroprovic end cans, dont get me wrong they look good on the bike and sound great (with or without the baffles, although I cant remember the last time I had the baffles in).

Now with the Ackro's and no baffles the bike is very loud, well you would think that, but I live in the Czech Republic for last couple of years and my bike sounds like an electric bike compared to most bikes here in Czech, they are so loud here, which is good as were still behind of the law on loud pipes, hi vis clothes etc etc, I even saw a bike the other day were he had turned his number plate on its side to fit in between his pipes......

So with this in mind I was thinking about trying a mod and having maybe a gp race can (single or double) or putting some stubby race cans on.

So my question, has anyone done anything like this (what cans you use) and any factors I might need to consider.

Cheers for any help or advise on giving my any ideas on get my SD super loud and mean
You can shorten the Akra cans. Pull them apart and cut the outer sleeve and the same length of the perforated tube. Put it back together (use stainless steel nails!) and you're ready to go.

I'm also willing to trade my (louder) Leo carbon cans for your Akra's
I shortened the length of my round Akropovic cans by about 50mm and replaced the skins with carbon. Here's a link to the thread talking about replacing the riv-nut fixings with the same type that Akra use.
