#4If that R1 is on the Jap spec Dunlops they come with you will soon lose all confidence in that.
Could be the rear has been changed all ready but try to haggle a set of anything else into the deal.
There is a thread on PB forum right now discussing why UK Dunlops are so good and Jap spec Dunlops are so terrible. The R1 is the bike that seems to suffer worse with the Japlops, must be because of how it puts the power down.

#5Those bikes sound SOOOOO good with the Akra full system on them.
Not my cup of tea, though.
I hope it works out better for you than the SD did.
Steady on the brakes!

#7It's a shame that you left the SD for the reasons you have, but that R1 is a great bike.

#11Awesome choice.. I had 07 model ... i have alot more confidance in the R1 performance.but for me the duke is a diffeernt animal, more for a blast to the shop.. rather than outright track performance.. ENJOY IT!!
