Went out for a trip with a couple of friends yesterday, we did a 400km trip that took around 11 hours, small twisty roads with great outdoor views.
the average speed was kind of slow some guys had a xt600 and a transalp. but it was nice going slow, could do wheelies etc .
some reflections on going long trips.
My hands started to hurt after an hour or so, not the pain that you get from riding a sportsbike slow. but rather pain in the hands below the little finger's.
could it be because of the bends on the handlebar, that i need to tilt the handle bar up or down?
i will go on some more touring later and perhaps an investment in bar risers and a touring screen could be a good idea for semi-slow touring?
The superduke is really a great multipurpose bike, i can go fast with sport bike friends and slow with slower bikes, and still waste them all
btw on the trip i had a fuleconsumtion on 0,53L/10km
is there any good site for ordering bar risers and a touring screen? . i suspect my local dealer will rip me off and take a long time to deliver, better to order from the web.
