Different colour scheme

Evening, when I got my bike last year but there were no white ones to be had plus i got a good deal on this one. Now its an 08 orange one (black swing arm) and I do like it but I fancy doing somthing slightly different.

On my old 675 I made up some vinyl boards to look like number boards so Im toying with the idea od doing the same with my SD but with white on the orange as per below (excuse the dodgy attempt)

What do you think? I like the idea of having no stickers on it with just the subtle KTM on the seat.

There is no way in hell that I will run white wheels. After running Suzuki's for years I gave up trying to keep them clean .

I know what you mean about the rim tape in that it is popular now but I dont like all black wheels and tyres. The tape breaks up the black area plus Ive been putting this on my bikes way before everyone else, before even the Gaulious (sp) 500 GP Yamahas years ago.

I just like doing something subtly different from the norm. The good thing is with vinyl or even Fablon you keep the matt finish, it protects the original paint and if you dont like it it just peels off.

If the vinyl has a decent finish - go for it.
I hate advertising stickers, unless I'm truly getting paid to wear it (I'm not).
You could go any color you like, but white seems best. Dump the rim tape, as it will just get dirty like your old GSXR wheels. Black/black wheels/tyres is really a beautiful thing., It gets dirty gracefully and evenly.
