i changed my oil a few weeks back and i noticed a drip from the sump plug area yesterday,i,ve drained it tonite and my sump plug dosnt have any washer on it!either i lost it when i changed the oil and didnt notice or theres not meant to be one,any advice guys?
Yes it should, all sump plugs on pretty much all vehicles should have one as it's what gives it the seal.

HTH.
thanks mate,i kinda knew that but with ever increasing age comes ever increasing stupidity
i,ll just need to take it to a motor factors and see if i can get one to fit as the nearest ktm dealer is 40 miles away
The oil tank drain takes one as well. Different size.
An oil change require:
Two different Cu crush washers.
one o-ring for filter
special shaped o=ring for the screen (what is that material called again?)
donut thingy for the oil tank screen.
filter

I suppose people forgo the screen seal for a few changes as they are expensive.

Changing the oil on this thing ain't like any bike I ever had.
But there is the rub about the SD!
i only done 1400 miles last year so i just done the oil and left the filters as i done them mid season the year before
can,t believe it,i just went out to the garage for a good look and found it! what a stroke of luck
