Well we had a great ride about 1200 miles worth! We must have ridden the dragon at least 30 times and we even rode it at night! Joe I see what you like about it at night, there were about 20 guys (locals) with custom lighting on their bikes that were really running it hard. I did it in 8 minutes 50 seconds in the dark. I didn't have to pass one car on the night runs. It was great.
We went with 5 bikes and came back with 4. The new Triumph Speed Triple that I was going to ride went down the first day and totaled it! Luckily my buddy didn't get hurt except for his pride and new bike this was his first trip on his bike.
We did get a chance to ride together before the miss-hap. All I can say is the Speed is no match for an SDR in the tight corners of the dragon. The ground clearance sux and the suspension is a tad soft. I am sure it could be adjusted but the clearance is a problem if you ride aggressive. His pegs and other parts were on the ground when I was riding along behind him at an easy pace.
I have some good video but I have to edit it to make it interesting. I did make the blog page of Killboy http://killboy.blogspot.com/ (scroll down to the bottom) and have several pictures on their site as well http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/ThumbPa ... 04RK00RP04
also on Zeephoto http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/ThumbPa ... 0HH600S102
There is a lot of pictures on both but it is easy to find the orange frame on mine! The other SD's are on there also.
