Yesterday was a great day no wind My riding buddy came by and said we have to do a ride.I had promised the wife that I would stay home and do so much needed honey do's.The day was too nice to not go so Off we went.I took the duke out because I knew the tyres are perfect.I said lets do the same ride we did last week.I wanted to see the differance since last week I rode my RC8 which I just got back from a month in the shop.I had done some nice mods and a re map. This one section is a road that has a lot of tight twisties on the back way to a ghost town in AZ.The road coditions are not great.I hate the tyres that I had on the RC8.I got it used with two differant brands of tyres stock pirelli 5k on the front and a mich 1500k on the back.I had fun thought I was going fast till I saw the go pro. What a slug Now I am on my duke .Holy shit on this road even if it is tore up I went twice as fast everything was easy. This bike is so much fun I was flying thru the same turns that last week I could only cruze. The duke soaked up the bumps like a sponge.Last week my friend on his CBR1000RR left me.This week on the tight stuff he was chasing me and if he did manage to pass I could keep on his ass.You have to be careful here can't get to crazy. On the straights of course he was gone but I could catch up when it got tight again.I just can't get over how much fun and easy it is to go fast on a duke. Now I just put some Used wheels that I bought on the RC8.These are the R wheels and the have some super corsa's on them with lots of meat left.I really want to ride today but if I don't get these chores done I won't have to worry about crashing.I said today I will get it done.so I woke up early and started.I am hoping to get it all done so I can try these new wheels.I have a track day in April and have commited to riding the RC8 I have fresh Buns waiting to be mounted.I know I am faster on the duke.I just have to try this bike on the track just to see.Does anyone know if a 6 inch rim will fit the duke with a 190 on it? Because if I don't like it I have no problem putting these R wheels on my duke and just track it.I could part ways with the RC8 Unless I can ride it like the duke I got go pro of yesterday man what a differance.I just don't know if I can master that 8.All I know is if they put the big motor in the duke and don't fook it up.And it handles like a duke does now. What else could you need I would sell them all to get that set up.
I saw the spy photo's and I hope it's true a real duke with a bigger motor than the RC8.It has to be a dream.
Sorry man - that RC8R rear wheel won't go on the SD ... front will, but no real benefit except the weight.
