Anybody using Dunlop DPR11 tyres. I'm pretty sure in Brit they are sold as D211GP. No idea what the're called in the states. Supposed to be Dunlops track day street legal offering. A Brisbane dealer has them on special for $380 pr fitted. If the're as good as they sound thats a bloody exceptional price.

#2they are very sticky... as long as you can keep them warm (fine on a hard ride but start slowing down or have a coffee break and they lose a lot of grip). This is why i use the Q2's instead.
they are a great summer tyre but with all this rain they may not be ideal... what is the build date of the tyres?

#3I ran them last year for a handful of trackdays.
Very grippy but i given up with them now, it didnt matter what i did i just couldnt stop them tearing.
I monitored pressures real close after every session on track and managed to go from cold tear to hot tear all in 1 day. So after that i fitted a brand new shock and the next trackday exactly the same thing. I even had geometry tear on the front tyre which is something ive never seen before with the SD
My rear tyre which ive just chucked away looked brand new in the middle but then had huge tears and chunks out of them about 1 inch in from both edges (and all this after having the suspension set up proffessionally and also several chats with Dunlop Tech in Birmingham,UK which is my home town)
I actually chatted to a guy at Rockingham with a Ducati who was also running fast group and D211GPs and i noticed he had exactly the same thing on his rear also
Im sure theyd make an excellent summer scratchin tyre but ill go back to Racetecs in the future (or maybe Bridgestone 003) as ive never had any tearing problems with them!

#4I have used on on several track days fantastic Grip and wear really well.......I have had tearing (same area)
You need to much use lower PSI than any other tyre on the track (Road 34psi Front and rear)
Track 19 psi (cold) Rear and 30 psi (cold) Front
Track 23psi (Hot) Rear and 33psi (Hot) Front
Sounds crazy low but works a treat (Ntec belt prevents tyre growing at speed and so they can run lower psi)
