Was a sunny day, not overly warm 13C. Dry road we looked around after the drop to check it out, couldn't find anything exept the tyre syrface looks funny. It's a weird corner but I've been there before and I actually was going to go in hotter but decided to play it safe and hit the brakes harder, still the rear slid, no warning and so fast there was no way to save it on the knee or throttle.
Pisses me off as I had loads of confidence in the 208RR's. I had a feel at the tyre after I picked it up, felt warmish to the touch so not entirely cold.
All I can think of is that because it has been on the dyno the side of the tyre got sprayed with chain grease or something...
The other thing is that the roads here are tar with gravel pressed in so not really ashfalt and they show bald tar patches after summer with no gravel sticking out, when its damp these patches are like ice.
I'll take a picture and post it when I take the wheel out.
