Just ring your local KTM dealer, they all keep them in stock, £8 - job done

If you have trouble finding 1 just ring Redline KTM, they have them in stock and can post you 1 for £12!

I no this cuz mine turned up yesterday

Now as for fitting, the easiets way ive found is to drop the system off from the front and rear cylinder head mounts, central mount and the mount where it connects to the silencers,this allows the system to move around, remove the front sprocket cover and a long bar with 10mm socket will release the clamp around the gaskit joint, remove old gasket, use a bit of WD40 to get the new gasket in and also to ease the fitting of the rear cylinder pipe back into the new gasket joint, realign everything back up, all mounts etc then do the final tightening of the complete system - should take around an hour

i refitted my exhaust tonight with new gasket, ive now found the easiets way is this -

fit the rear cylinder head pipe 1st, nipped up to the cylinder head but not fully tightened. (the new gasket should already be installed and the clamp tightened just enough to hold it in position)

position the main part of the system by hand, line it up with the rear pipe and use a rubber mallet to tap the system into the rear pipe (abit of WD40 inside the gasget helps here)

fix the front cyclinder pipe into place and nip the bolts up.

remount the centre clamp then fully tighten all mounting points finishing with the rear silencer or Y peice clamp.

Run the engine up to temp then recheck all mounting bolts - job done

Shit! Spent the afternoon stripping her down and realised I got given the wrong part no. and I didn't check it.

I got 58405005100 which is for 625EXC/640 etc instead of 58405005001

at least the sun was shining...

This stuff always seems to happen to me. Like snapping a banjo bolt in the oil tank.

Likes like a Chinese scooter for work tomorrow.

To bring back an old thread;

Is it recommended to remove the rear cylinder header or just take the system down from the gasket connection?
