After 3 years of lurking around here I paid the deposit on a 2008 new model at £7495 from AMS in Tewkesbury.

Can't believe I've finally done it! I hope they are OK these Superdukes.

One piece of advice sought: when I pick it up I'll be riding 100 miles back to Liverpool up the M5 and M6. As it is brand new, any advice on running in?

Wear some cycle shorts
As for running in, dont labour the engine.

Yeah, SD + motorway = nightmare

I've never ragged any new bike i've bought but varied the rpm constantly and not laboured the engine. Each to their own I guess.

PS Did i mention that the motorway is the worst place to honeymoon your new purchase?
