In my quest to finally turn everything on my SD into carbon I finally fitted the cowls manufactured by our Mad friend Max Masalla. Have to say they fitted very easily and are hand made to fit by the man himself so well done Max.
On the photos you can see that the cowls are the same shape as the originals, (they are made from a mould taken from the originals so they should be), but the edges of the form are softer - I think this makes it easier for him to get the carbon weave to follow the form as he lays them up.
You can also see my headlight cowl on which I experimented with Di-Nok carbon effect shrink material. Not sure about it (because it's fake) but you can see the difference between it and the real thing.
Gave the bike a good clean today as it's going to rest for a few months while I'm in plaster and on crutches after an op. on Tuesday - the first time I will have not ridden through out winter for over 20 years.
