First proper ride after first service, not so good!

As title says, first proper ride since 1st service and removing of baffles, I did take it out last weekend but was way to slippery to go quick!

About 8 miles out all was going well and I stopped off at a mates place to show him my mods.

As I slowed, a small puff of smoke overtook me!

Checked the bike over to see it had sprayed a fair amount of oil on the engine, my boot and most worringly the right hand side of the rear tyre!

Looks like the rocker cover gasket on the front cylinder isn't seated properly. I figure the dealers had the rocker cover off to do the valve clearences.

Took it strainght to the dealer but unfortunatley was only a saturday bloke there. I calmly and politely explained what had happened and that there was a 100 MPH right hander a few miles on!.

That was saturday, yet to hear anything yet! Would have really appreciated a phone call to say 'we'll get this sorted'.

Wait and see what happens really, I appreciate it was a mistake and mistakes do sometimes happen. I'm quite interested to see what the dealers have to say.
That sounds like real bad luck m8, I dont trust my local dealer if that makes you feel any better (fowler's(fowlup's) of Bristol) You'll get there in the end. Hope you get mobile soon, not that your missin any good weather.
