i am not leaving them they aint getting away is what i said, on an open road the 1000cc s/bikes will pull away easy but in the twistys in sunny suffolk not a chance will a 1000cc s/bike get away from a sdr or most sports touring up right bike?

it's each to their own, i got a mate on an old bmw r100t who rides the nuts off it and sometimes when i'm pushing it it grates me to see his bloody great round headlight still in my mirror, and even on fast roads he's never far behind. with the road as they are today it's mainly traffic that sets the pace and perhaps the odd bit of good twisty. saying that a good riding mate has a zx10 and i can't even get close to him when he buggers off
hey ho, as long as yer aving a good time
It's all about the rider.

Which means there's no quick fix for me...
