Foam in tank anyone running it?

Gday,

Has anyone here gone down the route of running foam in their fuel tank to minimise weight shift from fuel moving round, any impressions?

search "tank foam" ..there's guys that have run it ...helps with surging in hard cornering..I haven't hit that many G's yet..

I run foam in my tank.
Its not about hard cornering its about surge during braking and accelerating.
Without the foam my SD sometimes cuts out under braking with more fuel in the tank than with.
Still need to keep half a tank in at all times just to be sure.
Of course this is just for track use. Never had a problem on the road.

My new toy has it fitted....I was not to sure to keep it in or not.....(I was worried about it breaking down)

So its worth keeping in ?

I've got some on order that seems to be taking ages to arrive.

We ran it in the Caterhams and it worked well.

If it is the right product it won't break down and is supposed to only take up 1% of volume. I had it in my tank and it really helped in quick flick chicanes. Probably in braking as previously stated too.
Linga has my old tank. Perhaps he can chime in?

Been meaning to get some since summer 2010, any less than a full tank and park corner has the bike cutting out.

maybe this year I'll get some ordered

I think the cheapest and easiest option is to do what Kowekiller did and launch the standard kit and fit a good quality in line filter.

The filter is reasonable but I paid $80 for the two diamond encrusted o-rings.
