Full system guys?

Can anyone running a full system tell me,

Do the cans have removable DB killers?
What sort of top end gain have you seen on the dyno?

I am running the full Evo system and, yes, it came with db killers.
I'm not much help on the power increase I'm afraid as we now know the piston was starting to break up giving us false readings.

I have a full Titanium system. Yes the cans come with baffles but I run mine without, (and had it set it up on the dyno without). Just quiet enough to pass the noise test at Brands Hatch. 103dcb I think.

Can't say about the power gains for just the exhaust because of so many other mods. that all contribute, you can't really isolate what the exhaust does. When I had the new pipes put on I did get a new dyno tune done - the only thing additional change at the time was the Motohooligan secondary butterflies. There are the charts on here under a thread about the full-system. I can't remember now but I only gained about 2 or 3 bhp because the bike was already running Akra silencers and making a lot more power over standard.

What i found, and i think that most will agree, is that the full system changes the characteristics of the engine a lot. This is more noticeable than the absolute power gains. It wants to rev more - really pulls through to the red line and beyond in every gear. It somehow encourages you to do this rather than short shift and use the torque. It's a bit addictive! Definitely faster - you notice it on the straights on tracks when trying to match the IL4s.

But if you are thinking of buying new,(I didn't), then pound for pound it is a very expensive way to get more power. Probably not worth it. Far better to spend your money on a Motobox and a retune if you haven't already done so. But the titanium system looks good when the colours start to show!

dont get me wrong... the full system is awesome BUT unless you have the heads ported, polished and gas flowed, i dont think there is that much that is gained from a 1200 dollar system.

if you had head work then i would be all for it... just like the intakes that i have worked on will complement and work better with a port and polish... you dont get the full gains until this is done... it is a huge limiting factor on the lc8 motor

that being said... a properly cleaned up head, proper intake set up (no flies, motobox or equivalent, DVS), full headers, a proper tune.. i have no doubt that a normal SD would see over 140hp at the back wheel.... and am also looking into cams at the moment (for a lot cheaper than the tornado's)

i think the LC8 motor will have no worries in producing close to 145hp at the wheel without upping displacement or compression

who cares if there arent huge gains, it looks fantastic!
