gas cap question KTM hardparts Harris

I just received a KTM gas cap from Harris. It’s the same as the KTM Hard parts cap. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting this hose that run from the cap to the tank installed. It seems almost impossible the opening on the tank is very small. Is it necessary?

Boney let me know what you do with the attached hose. Its impossible to install.

I have one but I didn't install it. Came with the bike. It is a much better part than the stock one. Easier to fill and less gas trying to splash all over the tank.
