god bless crash bungs! i had been out on a ride today on my own and thought....i know lets go show these superbikes how to REALLY ride the swistie snake pas, so off i trott. i ride the snake like rossi, throwing it into corners...knees sliding on the floor on every bend and really showing them whos boss. anyway i get to glossop and m petrol light comes on so i fill up and think "i know...il have a stead ride back nothing major just steady away. so i get back on the snake and get cranked over for this left hander and next thing i know im sliding down the road with my SDR leading the way on its side! all im thinking it "for fooks sake...this is all i need, bike will be ruined" so i get up and pick the bike up and put it on the stand put it into N and it fire up straight away...happy days so i start to inspect the bike, and to my absolute amazement there isnt a mark, scratch or stone chip on it! all thanks to my R&G crash bungs! god bless R&G!

SD's crash well

What caused the crash?
to be honest mate the only thing i can blame it on is gravel or something cos i didnt dive on the front brake or anything, i have done that corner dozens of times and a hell of a lot faster o god only knows mate.

First thing to do is protect the beast! Pleased to hear your SD 100%
Glad you're OK, dude...any crash you can walk away from is a good one!

Crash protection should be the first item on everyone's list. Rider and bike alike!

Sounds like a slide I had a while back.

Only thing I could see damaged on mine was the crash protection and gear selector, but a few rides later the gear link rod had undone itself and disappeared leaving me in 4th with about 10mile to get back! So if your gonna be riding before you fit a new selector, check the nuts on the rod!
cheers jambox i will check that out when i fit the new stuff.
