Goodbye SD'ers

My beloved 06 SD has gone to it's new home (a dutch bike dealer working near to the Nurgurgring) so I will say goodbye to the forum and all the good people that frequent it (and Joe)
The amount of advice, banter and humour I experienced since I purchased my bike in June 2006 has been second to none and this is the best bike forum I have ever visited.

Thanks to the late great Dr F, Rick (Plipton), Joe and all the other valued contributors I exchanged views and conversatiuon with.

Having sold by the best bike I have ever owned, I am also going to sell my BMW GS850 winter hack and when funds improve will purchase a 'jack of all trades' that can go through the British winter and also raise the adrenalin on the continent during the summer. I know what I am thinking of buying but would be interested to hear the views of all on the forum as to what would be the best bike for the dual role.

Thanks everyone and if no one replies to my query, goodbye
Sorry to hear you're leaving us dude. maybe we will see you back here one day if the pull of the SD becomes too much. That 1190 version maybe too much to resist when it comes out
You'll be back..... Good luck meantime. Oh and give the SMT a try...
Sorry to hear you're going Baggieman, you were one of the originals when I first joined and was still learning about the SD.

Don't know much about dual purpose bikes but the SMT mentioned does look pretty good for that type of thing.
530 EXC
CBR600F
950 Sm is a good shout, if you can find a slightly tatty one you'll not be so precious about it during the winter !!

Good luck with whatever you choose
