Hi all,
I just had a minor off and the left side is scuffed. Luckily I'm all-risk insured and the damage is the usual little things like plastic, shift pedal and a my steering weight broke off a chunk of metal in my handlebar.
First point:a
Unless I can find a reasonable priced left tank panel and rear panel for my orange 07 SD I'm considering going full carbon (eBay FTW!) so If anyone has the parts I'm looking for for sale, please let me know.
My other option is to get white panels for the left side and keep the right side orange cause I always loved white on the SD and I think white/orange goes well together
Second point:
Only damage on the rear set is the shift pedal which is bent and a scuff on my peg. Since I also want to raise my rear sets I might get a cycle control kit or just go all out on a aftermarket rear set. What will the machined MH heel plates be worth since they're in almost perfect condition?
Third point:
Handlebars… I know this is discussed a lot already but I hate the Rizoma shape and love the standard bar. On track though, I feel they're a little too high and I would like them a little lower and maybe a little bit more forward. Also I'm thinking of shedding a kilo or two my using lighter steering weights, those standard parts are heavy as fook! What do you racers use?
Last but not least, I'm fine even though I had a huuuuuge blow on the side of my head but this didn't even cause me any pain at all, not even when shaking my head afterwards so I already ordered the same lid but this time in full carbon
