#29I want one of these. Came close last year, found one in Kent just imported from the States. Mint and original. But silly money. Went to see it knowing that I might just be stupid enough to part with the cash. But in the end I couldn't justify it. Will one day though

So, I went to the darkside, still have the SD and actually just put a new set of rubbers on her and finally installed that motobox using a map from here and works pretty well, actually think it was klinks post if I'm not mistaken, thanks.
The 1198S got homecoming presents as well and going in for some dyno work in the next week. Full ti Akra's, and those fookers are huge, 72mil in dia huge, the thing sounds like a huey landing. Very happy with it and a sh!tload of bike I will tell you that

#53On another front altogether. I am tempted, for another but not as a replacement, a Triumph Scrambler. I would want a 06 or 07 as they were carborated. I am thinking of adding into a stall a bike that is new running but still holds all the virtues of a simpler time. Air cooled, cable clutch, spoked wheels, carbs, heck I would even like a kick starter. I want the quinticential motorcycle, one with little pretence or one that does not expect so much from me. When I ride the SD, I feel it my duty to treat it with the wild abandon she so deserves. I am not always up to the task, and therefore need to compensate for times that I forgot to wheelie past the SUV passing in a no passing zone area and past every kid on a bike smoking the rear tyre away with a rolling burnout. The best way that I have come up with to try to make it up to her is to wheelie past the Ghost Riders biker bar on Sunday afternoons right smack downtown in my little one horse town. She absolutly is thrilled to show that american iron what a real, live to ride, bike sounds and acts like. Ya a Triumph Scrambler for maybe monday through thursday.
