I seem to be wanting on of these... Would make a nice little townbike. LOL.
nope... i have been thinking the same thing... maybe something that I would love while forcing me to slow down on the road.

It is a very sexy bike but i wouldnt get it with those zards... i would go norton commando style... one each side, long, low and loud

and after seeing tron... yeah i want one (dont tell me you just watched tron did you?)

do you know what is worrying me even more... i want a yamaha MT01 and cafe racer while changing suspension and brakes to ohlins and brembos.

but i know im still sane because i want an aprilia RS500 2 stroke 120hp in a 110kg (wet) bike
You need to finish first!
For the amount of money in that duc I'd go for the new Norton instead.
Not at all dude, it would make a very nice road bike!

Prefer the Norton though
I know Bert, I know... But.... Er....

Oooops.

I seem to have just bought this:

In a month it will look like this one (Monster S4R front end, brakes and wheels from ebay) - but in BLACK.

Not at all Dutch, that's a really sweet bike.

There's a strong thread of people building hardcore nakeds, checkout some of the bikes here: www.bikeexif.com The Japanese are also heavily into it; www.ac-sanctuary.co.jp and www.bulldock.jp
ooh, how much Dutch?
Some stunning bikes on those links... I've gone a bit moist.

I wanna just how good I can get this littel Beastie. The engine shares the ECU with the 900SS and 748 and Chris at XBikes reckons he can tune the shit out of it, well within tolerances.

....Ideally it'd have full Ohlins too....

I'm thinking about getting it back with an orange stripe (like my lid in my sig) as a KTM tribute. ... My black'n'orange Duc and Superduke.... heh heh heh heh....
Very nice. I have a warm spot in my heart for that Duc as well. You'll have to give us a review. Enquiring minds want to know.

I think it is something like the mt1100 DS café racer. I love em... Same engine as the hypermotard... More torque than hp
Isn't it a Sport Classic? 1000CC
That's correct Will.

It's a sport classic. Shares the 1000DS engine with the Monster and Multistrada.

For the people who want to know what they're like... exceptional is the word. It's not as fast as your Superdukes, it's not as good at handling as them either.. but it has 'something' about it... it's just an amazing machine.

here's mine with the wifes 749

Hell, why stop at a S4RS front-end...

A good friend of mine raced a 1000 classic with a 749R front end and he LOVED it. Still has it actually, rides it on the street.

I had a Monster 1100S with same but newer engine - GREAT engine. However, I prefer the Monster myself for a few reasons..
Hey fellas. Yes, me and Weeksy have simultanously discovered the merits of the Ducati Sports Classic 1000 Biposto with the proven 1000cc desmo engine that powers most of Ducatis current air-colled fleet of bikes. It's quite a rare beast - which I love - and few people recognise it while most think it's an old bike until they see the 09 plate.

Clutch is light, throttle response is crisp, v-twin rumble is deep and meaty, the seat is comfy, the riding position is tucked-up (but not as bad as most modern sportsbikes) and the power is a modest 92bhp at the rear wheel (so far heh heh) but she's tuneable, tweakable, and can be made very pretty and quick indeed.

I've had the bike three days and already have the cosmetics on order. She'll be black n' gold by the end of the month, with sorted suspenders and tail tidy with mini indies and decent Dunlop rubber.

It's a real hoot to ride, can fit the missus on the back, and compliments the SDR nicely.

Now I just need a pisspot lid, some sturdy gardening gloves and an Ace Cafe decal.
I bet you have yours longer than Weeksy!
Anything that isn't powered by a certain Milwaukee brand is fine by me!!!
