#4I've got these. They zip to my jacket and I can put pucks on them if desired. I've got big thighs and calves, so they are a little tight, but they are padded in all the right spots and I wear them year round (using different liners by season) without too much discomfort. Only work if they can go inside your boots - not over. That said, I'd prefer one piece.
