#10Diablos mate. i had Pilot 2CT's on my Buell and was not a fan, wet grip was good but I didnt like the profile or looks.
Standard Diablo is a great all rounder sport/road/default tyre.
Corsa is stickier in the dry and not good for wet riding, will last less miles than standard Diablo.
Strada (just fitted) is a harder compound, supposedly more miles, best for wet grip. Personally i doubt I'll ever push it beyond it's dry/warm grip limit....so I'm looking forward to wet grip and savings! My first ride was in BAD rain, the tyre wasnt scrubbed in but it already had MORE wet grip than the Corsa I had before. Confidence inspiring!!

#11Ah, that is very helpful. Thank you. Standard Diablo or Strada may be right for me. Any idea how the wet grip of the standard Diablo compares to the Strada?

#12Another option for good dry riding and even better wet riding is de BT014.
In the latest test of Sport tyres (Belgian motorcycle mag) the bt014 got the 1st place, 2nd pp 2ct and 3rd place was for the diabolo III.
They said that the bt014 wasn't that much better in the dry than the 2ct from Michelin, but that the difference in the wet was incredible.

From experience of a friend of mine who rode the bt014 on his xtra raptor: excelent tyre, but it was almost if the rubber disapeared after each ride. He only did 2500 km's with them. He rides a SD now and don't want them anymore because of the small mileage.
Here in Belgium a lot of sporty riders choose or the PP 2ct or the bt014, just because of the good handling in the rain + they behave very good in the corners and on trackdays as well.

#13I am getting PP 2CT's fitted this coming weekend. Based on comments on this forum plus the guy where I buy most my tyres would not recommend anything else for riding in mixed conditions like we will have over the next few months. The proof of the pub is in the eating as the saying goes
