I haven't done it on my SD yet, but have on my other bikes.......firts off, the 8000k color, won't wok for much other than looks, the light color is very poor for the eyesight, the best color combo I've had has been 4700 to 5000k and I also use 3000k for my fog ligth in my bmw, all HID, and they work fantastic
I did mine last month with a cheaper version.Did 4300.
I had to motodremel to get the bulb in, not hard to do.
My cost was $65cdn . They really work well, I was surprised at how much light they put out.
Thanks for the replies guys. Does anyone have a link from a place to purchase? (preferably here is the US) I have been scouting a bit on ebay & the prices do vary a lot I just want to make sure I get a good set-up & one that is plug & play. Thanks again

Cheers Rob
I did mine a couple months ago. Bought the kit from www.hidsrus.com and opted for the 6000k color and the relay along with lifetime warranty. It was pricey but wow, what a difference in terms of output. I never need to run the high beam. I also had the use the Dremel but if you go slow, it's a snap. Good luck! P.S. the 6000k main with an amber/orange accent light above looks really cool too.
I concur with ddm tuning, like previously stated, it requires a little bit of dremeling but they turn out really nice and put out a lot of nice bright light, had mine for 2 years now and no problems!

Rob, my bike is a Canadian model, Im thinking its the same set up as yours and the light pattern is good.
I'm using a relay as well on mine, did the heated grips thing to on the same day.
