Wow fellas, a buddy of mine just took me to Redwood Road out in the east bay and I am very impressed! Granted he wasn't too familiar with how to get there and it took us forever to find it, but once we did, it was SD heaven!

From SF:
take 580E to 24E
exit 7A to fish ranch rd
take grizzly peak rd to skyline blvd
continue onto pinehurst rd
left onto redwood rd

We wished we could do some laps but it was getting a bit late. After being there, I'd say it beats 35 or 84 hands down! For a saturday afternoon, I didn't have a single car in front of me the whole run, the pavement was in great shape (no tree root bumps, minimal tar snakes, very few potholes) and had a fantastic series of S's to it. Will definitely be back.

Anyway, i'm sure most of you east bay folks know about it already, but living in the city, I had no idea! thought i'd share it
Maybe we can do a Bay Area Duke Ride next time.

They must have repaved since the last time I was there a few years ago...riding was a bit weird due to some of the road being crowned in the center causing a mild off camber. Gonna try and ride it again soon. I usually start off in Castro Valley and work my way towards Oakland...with neighborhoods at each end. Entertaining ride to say the least..the last time I was there anyways.
