I hit a roo tonight while riding home from work (I live in the Adelaide rural area). We
have a bad drought at the moment, so the risk of Roos running into you is
much greater. I was going down a hill. I pasted two cars (one with his high beam
on). Coming out of a left hand sweeper, after pasting the 2nd car, I saw a flash
on my right. A roo was going full stick into my side. It was a small/medium size
roo (Walaby size). Bang. Crush. Shudder. Bike shook violently. Sharp pain in
my leg/knee. The thing had clipped me. I think I knee'd it in the head. I
stopped in the next town to assess the damage.

So, I'm up for R/H fairing. If the oncoming muppet in the sedan didn't
have his high beams and spotty's on, I might have seen the roo
on the side of the road.

Does anyone know how much these fairings cost ?. If price is silly,
I probably won't worry about it.

Yes the deer defo came worse off, where your spoiler has broken of is that where it impacted on the deers torso as it has a hole in the side of the deer indicative of the damage caused to your bike? maybe the rest of the fairing is in there......

Is the veneson making it's way to the bbq?

US supplier. I have options anyway. Thanks .

Yes, I was very lucky (as usual). It was a fairly stupid time to ride. Dusk and
dawn is the more interesting times to ride.

Last night, I had a funny feeling, so I was going to stop at a local pub in the
foot hills and have a brew (basically, animals will move feeding grounds during
this time, once done they will generally stay there).

The problem is that a cop bike passed me and pinged me (flashed his blue light
discos at me). I was doing about 15 over the limit (coming into a changed speed
zone). So that option was removed.

I don't now about other countries, but In Australia, if you wait an hour after
dusk darkness, then your risk decimates.

I am just wondering what a deer is doing in the Australian bush ?. it's like somebody
in Europe collecting a Roo/Wombat/Emu etc and posting up the piccy.
